Faux handmade paper.

  • Age paper according to your favorite method and let dry. I used coffee dip here.
  • I used letter size card stock. Fold in half. Then squirt a bit of water in palm of hand and use a finger to wet both sides of the crease.
  • Then I lined the page up with the edge of my surface and laid the deckle edge ruler next to the crease and tore slowly.
  • I then folded that size in half and repeated.
  • That left me with two deckle edges and two straight.
  • I wetted the straight edges and hand tore. There was not enough paper to use the tool.
  • To minimize paper loss when hand tearing an edge, use your thumb nail and take small bites and tear a tiny bit at a time.
  • Pictured above is the result.
  • I will stamp and embellish. Leaving space for journaling.
  • I may spray some dye.
  • Have fun.
